43 Muslim worshippers kidnapped in Zamfara regain freedom
No fewer than 43 Muslim worshippers who were kidnapped at Zugu community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State have regained their freedom.
Sources from the community where the incident occurred last Friday, disclosed that the victims were freed Tuesday night.
It was learnt that they were released by the bandits after the payment of five million naira ransom and other items.
According to reports, the 43 victims were released unhurt and have joined their respective families.
It was further gathered that the bandits’ kingpin, Bello Turji, had accepted the peace deal, which is why sanity is gradually returning to Shinkafi, Birnin Magaji and Zurmi Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.
