40-yr-old man arrested over alleged killing of minor in Adamawa

The Police command in Adamawa State has apprehended a man, Barnabas Abduneza, 40, for allegedly killing a minor.

Abduneza, who lives in Kpasham, a village in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, reportedly launched an attack on the deceased and her mother last week, September 29, in Kadamti village.

The attack, according to report, led to the death of the minor and serious injury inflicted on the mother.

The spokesperson of the Police in the state, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, who publicized the story via a statement received on Saturday morning, said, “Following the attack on a woman and her child in Kadamti village of Numan Local Government Area on the 29/9/2022 which resulted to the death of the baby and severe injury on the mother, the Command operatives attached to Numan Division, Men of operation Farauta and good Samaritans swung into action and apprehended one in connection with the offence.

“The suspect, Barnabas Abduneza 40 years, a resident of Kpasham village, Demsa Local Government Area, was arrested following credible information.”

The image maker of the police said the command had recovered from the suspect, various harmful and dangerous weapons which included: some bows and arrows, a black face mask, among other things.
