3 days to 2023 elections, Buhari meets INEC Chairman, Yakub
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 met with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmoud Yakub, ahead of the much anticipated presidential elections scheduled for February 25, 2023.
Report has it that the INEC boss met the Nigerian leader at the presidential villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The president said the meeting was done to ensure the successful conduct of the elections.
The president acknowledged that concerned stakeholders need to do everything necessary to achieve a successful election, Saturday February 25, 2023.

The leading candidates in the presidential election are Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP; Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP among other presidential candidates.
