2nd batch of Kwara pilgrims depart for Hajj 2025
The second batch of 415 intending pilgrims from Kwara State has departed for Saudi Arabia this afternoon to perform the holy pilgrimage of Hajj 2025.
Prior to their departure Wednesday afternoon, the State Amirul-Hajj, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Barrister Ismail Bolaji Yahaya Muhammed Atoloye Alebiosu, urged the pilgrims to represent their state with honor and integrity. “Be good ambassadors of Kwara State while you are in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
This second wave of pilgrims increases the total number of Kwara state pilgrims in the Holy Land to 975, highlighting the state’s commitment to facilitating the pilgrimage experience.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has implemented several measures to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims throughout their journey, a fact emphasized by the Amirul-Hajj.
The journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was overseen by the Special Adviser on Religion (Islamic Affairs), Alhaji Ibrahim Dan-Maigoro, who led the group of 415 pilgrims as they embarked on their spiritual journey.
The Max Airline flight arrived at the Babatunde Idi-Agbon International Airport, Ilorin at 11:45 AM and took off for Saudi Arabia at 1:20 PM.
