29 suspected criminals arrested during, after Eid-il-Fitri in Kano — NSCDC
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano State Command has confirmed the arrest of twenty-nine (29) suspected criminals in Kano during and after the just concluded Eid-il-Fitri celebrations.
This was revealed in a statement released by the NSCDC on Friday April 28.
The Commandant of the NSCDC in the state, Adamu Salihu, in the statement revealed that the suspected criminals were caught with harmful weapons and stolen items between April 21 and April 27.
He said: “The suspects were arrested for criminal cases related to phone snatching, property theft and vandalism.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
He said the security agency will continue to ensure the protection of lives and property in the state.
The NSCDC chief praised other security agencies and residents of the state for their usual cooperation and understanding.
He called on the residents to collaborate with the security agents by providing needed information when necessary.
“Security should be every citizen’s schedule of responsibility,” Salihu said.
