2027: Osun PDP senators back Tinubu’s re-election

In a significant political move, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators’ Caucus in Osun State has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their preferred candidate for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

The announcement came on Tuesday during a joint statement delivered by Senator Kamarudeen Oyewumi (Osun West), Senator Olubiyi Ajagunla (Osun Central), and Senator Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East). The senators expressed their solidarity with Tinubu’s leadership and supported his bid for re-election.

During their meeting, the senators praised President Tinubu for his governance, highlighting his economic reforms and substantial infrastructure development. They cited improvements in national security and a reduction in food prices as indicators of the effectiveness of his administration’s policies.

“This endorsement is not just symbolic—it reflects our deep confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on the promise of democracy,” the statement emphasized. “The Osun PDP Senators’ Caucus is united and unwavering in its support. There is no internal dissent; we stand as one.”

The senators, however, urged the president to maintain and accelerate his developmental initiatives for the benefit of all Nigerians, demonstrating their commitment to his vision for the country.
