2023: NDLEA to conduct drugs test for Tinubu, Osinbajo and others
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has written the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, asking that personnels of the agency be given the chance to conduct drugs test for political actors aspiring for political seats in the country.
The NDLEA Chairman, Brig-Gen Buba Marwa (Retd) made this revelation on Wednesday in Abuja while giving an address at the 1st quarter award ceremony of the NDLEA.
The Chairman noted that this activity would not be peculiar to the ruling party alone, but also aspirants of other parties in the contest.
He said the agency would write chairmen of other parties too, at the surface of their primaries, asking for permission to conduct similar drugs integrity test for aspirants in their parties.
“The drugs test is necessary to ensure that politicians vested with important national offices do not used budgetary allocations to go and buy cocaine or Methamphetamine instead of providing needed services for the masses,” Marwa said.
