20 passengers not 32 were abducted – Edo Govt

The Edo State Government has disclosed that only 20 passengers were abducted at the Tom Ikimi/Ekehen station in Igueben on Saturday.

He said the figure is against the widely reported 32.

Chris Nehikhare, the state commissioner for Communication and Orientation, said seven of the abductees have been rescued, while 13 victims are still with the gunmen.

Nehikhare said security agents, vigilance members and hunters were on the heels of the AK-47-wielding gunmen, while assuring they will be rescued unhurt and without payment of ransom.
