“He dreamt that Kwara would one day become a shining beacon of light, of hope and of prosperity. Thereby fulfilling our ultimate potential. This is the legacy he dreamt for Kwara, one that can be achieved only through peace and unity.
“Surat Al-Qadr (97) speaks of a descent of angels and of the Holy Spirit on the night of power when the revelation was sent down to the prophet (PBUH), ending with the verse ‘And peace it is, until the breaking of the dawn.’
“This verse identifies the night of revelation, and therefore the revelation itself, with peace. This peace is not only conceived of as an absence of conflict, but as a positive conception, of inner peace and well-being.
“May Allah grant all Kwarans that they left behind, the strength, wisdom and guidance to move Kwara towards abundant development, progress, prosperity and most importantly peace.”
