12 killed as vigilante battles bandits in Plateau villages
Twelve (12) persons have lost their lives in a clash between bandits and vigilante members in Zak community, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
A source revealed that the incident occurred around 9am, Sunday and triggered the death of nine bandits and three vigilante members.
A spokesman for Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, could not ascertain the number of affected persons but was only able to confirm the incident.
He said that the troops were able to repel the attack.
