10th NASS leadership: Tinubu meets lawmakers Thursday

As the nation prepares for the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, scheduled for June 13, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will on Thursday, meet with the lawmakers-elect across party lines.

It was gathered that the president’s invitation letter was conveyed to the Senate and read on Wednesday by the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege who presided over the plenary.

According to the letter, the meeting between the lawmakers and the president would take place at the State House Conference Centre, State House, Abuja, on Thursday, June 8th at 2 pm.

However, Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President, sat on the floor for Senator Omo-Agege to preside over the plenary, saying he was sitting on the floor in order to get used to being a floor member.
