10th NASS: APC anointed candidate, Abbas emerges Speaker House of Representatives

Tajudeen Abbas, the lawmaker representing Zaria Federal Constituency, Tajudeen Abbas, has emerged as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Abbas was elected in an “openly declare” ballot system by members of the House on Tuesday, after defeating his closest rivals, Ahmed Wase and Sani Jaji, who polled three votes each.
