The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has revealed that one person lost his life on Friday in an accident which occurred at Tatabu village in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger.
The Commander of the Niger Sector of the corps, Kumar Tsukwam informed newsmen in Minna on Friday that the accident happened at about 9:30 a.m.
The Commander said the accident affected a Toyota bus with registration mark DKA 41 ZY, saying that “two people were involved in the accident in which one person died and one person unhurt.
“The body of the dead was taken to taken to Mokwa General Hospital and vehicle involved handed over to the police in Mokwa for further investigation”.
Tsukwam blamed the cause of the accident on overspeeding and sent message of advice to motorists to be cautious and obey strictly the speed limits to avoid accidents.
The Commander revealed that the command would continue to monitor the activities of road users for their safety on roads in the state.
