Zamfara Gov., Lawal inaugurates tribunal to recover revenue
A six-man revenue recovery tribunal headed by Rabi Bashir has been inaugurated by Dauda Lawal, the Zamfara State Governor, while also appointed Musa Labbo, who will serve as a secretary.
Governor Dauda, while inaugurating the members of the tribunal, charged them to discharge their constitutional responsibility diligently, without fear or favour, noting that they were carefully selected among their peers to serve, with the belief that they would not disappoint the state.
The governor also urged the tribunal to ensure it recovers every revenue due to the state for sustainable and concrete development, in the overall interest of all, while assured members of the tribunal that the state government would give them all the necessary support and cooperation needed to succeed in the task ahead.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of the tribunal, Rabi Bashir, a lawyer, in her acceptance speech, pledged to work diligently to enable the tribunal discharges its responsibility successfully, while calling on all indigenes to cooperate with the tribunal for the interest of the state.
Their oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice of Zamfara State, Justice Kulu Aliyu.
