You’ve contested, failed many times, go and step down — Tinubu tells Atiku

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has called on the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, to step down his presidential ambition, adding that he (Atiku) should be tired of running for the presidency by now.

Tinubu said Atiku has contested for the presidency and failed times without number and therefore should be tired of running and withdraw from the Presidential race.

While speaking at the campaign rally in Gbaramatu, Tinubu said: “As I stand before you, there are few of us running. One says he is Atiku, how many times has he been running? He is now tired of running. Let’s tell him to go and sit down and quit the race. Enough is enough,” he said.

In a similar vein, Tinubu described the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, as someone who’s fond of quoting “wrong statistics” and an advocate of a “warehouse economy”.

“The other one thinks na statistics we go chop. He lies with arithmetic that no Indian can solve. To mention his name is a disgrace to me. I won’t mention the name. Wrong arithmetic, wrong statistics, warehouse economy — that is not what Nigeria needs,” Tinubu added.
