Yemi Alade emerges Spotify’s “EQUAL Africa Artiste” for January
Online streaming service Spotify has named Nigerian Afro Pop musician Yemi Alade as its “EQUAL Africa Artiste” for January.
This information was released in a statement on Monday in Lagos by Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Spotify EQUAL Africa program, according to the spokesperson, aims to give female artists the tools and resources they need to advance their careers and gain access to global audiences via various playlists.
She claims that in order to help the recipients advance their musical careers even further, they also receive off-platform coaching and resources.
