Yahaya Seriki completes stakeholders’ engagement across Kwara Central’s 52 wards

It was a roller-coaster affair on Tueda as Ambassador Yahaya Seriki concludes his engagement with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the ward level across Kara Central.

As one of the leading aspirants vying for the Kwara Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Seriki had on Friday through Saturday, Monday and Tuesday took his consultation to the 52 wards that dotted the district.

While he was able to engage stakeholders in 10 wards on Friday, he took a step further by familiarising himself with others on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday before concluding the tour on Wednesday.

Conveying his ambition, Yahaya promised to construct constituency offices in each ward that makes up the district and urged the party members to ensure they entrust him with the mandate.

“I have been pursuing my political ambition since 2007 now. I’m not going to cast a big shadow on my future because of a four-year Senatorial tenure – I assure all party members that I will bring a remarkable development to the district,” he promised.

In a separate visit to Sheikh Aliyu Abdulkadir Baba’gba of Balogun Fulani and Mogaji Akalanbi 1( Head of Akalanbi 1) prayers were offered for the success of Seriki’s ambition even as he was advised not to renege on his promises to the masses.

Giving his loyalty to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Party Stakeholders in all the wards visited passed a vote of confidence on Seriki to clinch the ticket.

“You’re our candidate and project. We know you have the interest of the people in mind since the last election when you stepped down for the Governor and you supported and backed our Governor. We’re here to repay your diligence and patience,” they said.

For the umpteenth time, the business magnate’s philanthropic gesture again saw him making donations of funds for the smooth running of the party activities in all the wards.

In Oke Ogun ward, Ambassador in his usual manner displayed his inclination toward the less privileged by empowering an old man and woman with business take-off- funds.

Yahaya Seriki is expected to fight it out with other two Senatorial aspirants; the incumbent Senator Yahaya Oloriegbe and the Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, Mallam Saliu Mustapha who had also expressed their interest in the same position.

On Monday, the youths of Alomu wards presented a little gift to him in show of heir support.

The Ward Chairman of Ajikobi pleads to the senatorial aspirant saying “All we want is you to empower the youth of our community, creating Jobs for them, so that they won’t be idle.”
