Woman remanded in prison over alleged breach of trust in Kano
A woman, Amina Isma’il, 24, was on Monday remanded by a Kano Shari’a Court, over alleged breach of trust.
Isma’il, who resides at Hotoron Fulani Quarters, Kano, has been charged by the police with two counts of cheating and criminal breach of trust.
Malam Ismai’l Muhammad-Ahmed, who presided over the matter has adjourned the case until November 28 for summary trial.
Insp Abdullahi Wada, who’s the prosecution counsel, has earlier informed the court that Baba Habu of Hotoron Fulani Quarters, Kano, brought the awareness of the matter to the Hotoro Police Station, Kano, on November 11.
Wada revealed that Isma’il received the sum of N130,000 from the complainant to begin a point of sale (POS) business, but the defendant diverted the money to another use.
The prosecutor said that the offence was in contravention of the Sections 202, 206 and 322 of the Penal Code.
