What Tinubu promised to give me when we met in London – Wike confesses
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has confessed that the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, gave him the offer of a senatorial ticket when they had a meeting in London, United Kingdom.
The Governor made this revelation during a media chat on Friday morning.
The governor made arrangement for the media chat in a bid to address the issues in the party.
Wike said he aspired for the presidential ticket because he desired to be the candidate, so he didn’t purchase a senatorial form.
“I didn’t contest so I can become a vice presidential candidate.
“I am not like others who were not serious and bought senatorial form alongside presidential form, and that’s why when Tinubu offered me senate slot, I didn’t go for it.”
