We didn’t order lady to pay N150,000 for failing to visit man after collecting N3,000: Osun court
The Osun State High Court has debunked the news making rounds the social media where a certain Akogun Oludare, a Magistrate sitting at Ilesa Magisterial District ordered a lady to pay her boyfriend the sum of 150,000 for collecting 3,000, as transport fare to visit the man, a promise she did not keep.
According to a statement signed by Omisade F.I, the Chief Registrar, there is no magistrate that is known as Akogun Oludare in Osun State Judiciary, adding that no magistrate in the state ever gave such an order.
The statement reads, “The attention of the Osun State High Court has been drawn to the fake and disturbing news making the rounds in the social media. It was widely reported between Thursday 23rd and Saturday 25th January, 2025 that one Akogun Oludare, a Magistrate sitting at Ilesa Magisterial District ordered a lady to pay her boyfriend the sum of 150, 000 for collecting 3,000, as transport fare to visit the man, a promise she did not keep.
“There is no magistrate that is known as Akogun Oludare in Osun State Judiciary. Furthermore, no magistrate in Osun State ever gave such an order.
“This news is misleading and untrue in so far as it relates to a magistrate in Osun State. The general public is enjoined to disregard this news and throw it into the trash can where it rightly belongs.
