Verydarkman gives update on hacked NGO’s account, says N78m recovered so far
Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), the social media commentator, has disclosed that N78 million has been recovered from N180 million claimed to be stolen from his NGO’s account following a hacking incident.
Verydarkman while giving an update on the recovery process via Instagram on Sunday, Verydarkman expressed gratitude and shared the next steps in the investigation.
“Thanks to the people who called to check up on me. I also want to thank God for the process so far: we have been able to recover N78m, even though the suspect pointed out that the person he did with has run to Ghana, so hopefully, we will be going to Ghana very soon,” he said.
The Informant247 reports that the controversial social media celebrity, had earlier claimed that over N180 million was stolen from his NGO’s account following a hacking incident.
It would be recalled that the VeryDarkMan had in October launched the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, garnered over N35 million in donations within hours. Shortly after, music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, contributed N100 million to the cause.

Otse, while addressing the incident in an Instagram video on Friday, said, “I’ve not been myself these past few days,” Otse shared. “Somebody hacked into the NGO website, and N180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve tracked the person, and one suspect has been arrested.
“The account is now on PND (Post No Debit). There’s N20 million left, while N160 million was diverted. We’re heading to Jos to recover the money.”
