UNILORIN student emerges new NAKSS President

A keenly contested election of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) held on Saturday, at the Kwara state Council for Arts and Culture, Ilorin has seen an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ilorin Ibrahim Wakeel Lekan emerged the President-elect after securing 87 votes to defeat his rival Afobaje Abdulazeez who secured 61 votes.

Meanwhile, OyInloye Ramadan won as the as the Vice President Administration with 101 votes, defeating Aminu Mubarak ADIGUN, who garnered 43 votes while Vice President Special Duties, Balogun Aishah Omotola won with 88 votes to defeat Lawal Zaynab Damilola who scored 59 votes.

Others who won are Abdullahi Biogera Issa, the Senate President-elect with 76 votes, defeating Muhammad Sulyman Baba who secured 69 votes, Deputy Senate President; Alagbede with 98 votes, defeating Ojo Mayowa victor who secured 45 votes.

Jimoh Fatimah Balogun of the Kwara State University won the Director General position with 83 votes, defeating Sulyman Uthman Kayode, who secured 35 votes, and Adeniyi Omowum Jemilah who secured 45 votes. For PRO 1, Mohammed Qozeem Raji won with 84 votes, defeating Salaudeen Ibrahim Lekan, who secured 64 votes.

The director of the welfare position was won by Babatunde Salaudeen with 84 votes, defeating Hussein Biola Jamiu, who secured 54 votes.

Abdulraheem Mubarak Usman won Social Director with 105 votes, defeating Raji Sharafdeen, who secured 36 votes, while Bello Firdaous Oluwakemi won Social Directress91 votes, defeating Abdulrasak Naheemah O who secured 56 votes.

For Senate Clerk, Idowu Praise Oluwafemi won with 91 votes, defeating Arinde Ademola Isaac who secured 52 votes, while Senate Chief Whip position was won by Mudashir Salaudeen Gbolahan won with 83 votes, defeating Baraje Ibrahim Yusuf who secured 63 votes.

Abdulrasaq Muheebudeen Logun won the position of Auditor General with 84 votes, defeating Yahyah Alli Zaen, who secured 16 votes, and Abdulsalam Bako who secured 36 votes.
