Ummulkulsum Buhari: Chinese national, Geng arraigned, charged with culpable homicide

The Police Command in Kano State has arraigned Mr Geng, a Chinese national, at a Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Normansland in Kano.

The Chinese national was arraigned for alleged killing his former lover, Ummulkulsum Buhari.

The Police has charged him with only one-count charge.

He has been charged with culpable homicide in the killing of his ex lover.

The Informant247 had earlier reported that the Chinese national, who’s simply known as Mr Geng, allegedly killed his former lover (a 23-year-old graduate of Kampala University in Uganda), at Kuntau residence, Janbullo general area of Kano metropolis.

The tragic incident occurred at 7 pm on Friday when Geng reportedly entered the home of the deceased lover.

The Informant247 learnt that the deceased was a graduate of Agriculture Science from Kampala University, Uganda, and currently a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Sokoto.

It was gathered that Mr. Geng, who felt betrayed by Ummukulsum Buhari allegedly jumped the fence, sneaked into the deceased’s room and killed her in cold blood.

A source said a family member tried to hospitalize her but she eventually later gave up the ghost.

The police rescued the suspected killer from a mob and took him to their station.
