UK court finds ex-deputy senate president, Ekweremadu, his family guilty of organ harvesting
The United Kingdom, UK court has found the former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu guilty of organ trafficking.
The court also found his wife Beatrice, daughter Sonia and a doctor, Obinna Obeta, guilty.
The jury held that they collaborated efforts to travel with the victim to London to exploit him of his organ (kidney).
The UK Guardian revealed that this is the first judgement of its kind under the Modern Slavery Act.
