2023: I will end insecurity, poverty if elected – Peter Obi
Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has promised to end insecurity, poverty and unemployment in Nigeria if elected in 2023.
Obi made the promise at a rally organised by the Middle Belt Forum on Thursday in Jos.
The LP candidate, who also promised to address hunger, unemployment and corruption, said that he would promote quality of education at all levels and improve the power supply.

There is heavy tension in Iganna, a town in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, following a deadly attack on the police station in the community.
Informant247 gathered that the attack has lead to the killing of two persons including a police officer on duty.
Akwa Ibom: Police kill two kidnappers, rescue five victims
The Police in Akwa Ibom State have reportedly rescued five persons from the hideout of two notorious kidnappers.
It was learnt that the kidnappers were said to have hijacked a Power Link Transit Company bus conveying passengers from Port Harcourt to Uyo, where they robbed and kidnapped five of them.
Troops rescue seven Kaduna kidnap victims
Troops of Operation Forest Sanity have rescued seven kidnapped victims in Birnin Gwari and Chikun Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this on Tuesday, saying the troops engaged the terrorists in battle to rescue the the kidnapped victims in the two LGAs.
