Tobi Amusan wins Gold again, breaks new record
Nigeria’s sensational sprinter, Tobiloba Amusan has once again proved her worth on Thursday after scooping another gold medal at the Zurich Diamond League.
The Ijebu-Ode born Athlete had recently made the headlines in this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where she claimed a gold medal in the women’s 100 hurdles final with a new record of 12.12 seconds.
Before Birmingham, the Nigerian
Queen of track had earlier won Gold in the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, USA.
With the victory on Thursday, she has successfully defended her title and with a new record of 12.29s dumping the United States Jone to 2nd (12.40) and Jamaica’s Anderson to 3rd ( 12.42).
Apart from winning the gold medal Amusan also broke the 22-year-old meeting record set by Gail Dever.
