Tinubu donates N50m to victims, N25m to church of Owo massacre
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has pledged to donate the sum of N50million to the victims of attack and another N25million to the Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state.
The former Governor of Lagos State has promised to collaborate with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state to achieve justice for the victims of Owo Massacre.
Tinubu who was on a condolence visit to the palace of Olowo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye, in company of the state governor, condemned the horrific attack on innocent worshippers, saying “there is no place for such hatred and wanton taking of innocent lives in our country.”
Recall that gunmen had stormed the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo on Sunday and gruesomely killed over 30 people who were mostly children and women.
Governor Akeredolu appreciated the former Governor of Lagos State for abandoning his presidential campaign schedules, less than 24 hours to the APC primaries and vowed to do justice to the criminality.
Top political actors accompanied Tinubu to Owo, among them were; the former Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Chairman of TETFUND, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, former APC National Vice Chairman, Southwest, Chief Pius Akinyelure, former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Nuhu Ribadu and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Otunba Femi Pedro.
