Tinubu departs Nigeria to attend G-20 summit in India

Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the early hours of Tuesday, departed Abuja, the country’s capital city, for the G20 summit in New Delhi, India.

The Informant247 gathered that the summit is to be held from September 9 to 10.

On September 1, Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, said Tinubu seeks to attract foreign investments to the country during the summit, adding that his principal will meet with world leaders and heads of state, in addition to industry titans, and chief executive officers of some of the most valuable corporations in the world.

While the president is away in India, the presidential election tribunal will, on Wednesday, deliver judgment on petitions challenging his victory in the February election.
