Thousands welcome Ronaldo to Al Nassr as he attends first training

Cristiano Ronaldo has been unveiled as a new player for Al Nassr in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The unveiling ceremony which was done at the Al Nassr’s home stadium, 25,000 capacity Mrsool Park.

Just immediately after he was unveiled, the 37-year-old hit the ground running by participating in the training session.

The training session was held under the watchful eyes of Ruud Garcia, club Head Coach.

Earlier before his unveiling, he noted that his move to Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr FC was informed by the fact that his work is done in Europe.

“I feel so proud to make this big decision in my life. In Europe, my work is done. I won everything and now this is a new challenge.

“I’m grateful Al Nassr have given me this opportunity, not only for the football but for the young generation and the female generation.

The five time Ballon D’or winner believes it’s a new challenge for him and he hopes to contribute his quota to the development of the club.

“For me, this is a challenge but I feel very happy and very proud.This is a good chance to grow many important points here with my knowledge and my experience.”

Speaking on leaving Europe for the Middle east, he noted how he kept on to his promise to the Saudi Arabian club despite offers from Europe.

“I had many opportunities in Europe, in Brazil, in Australia, in the US and even in Portugal many clubs tried to sign me, but I gave my word to this club”. He said.
