Team Kwara emerges 5th position as Delta State retains National Youth Games title
Delta state,host of the 8th edition of the National Youth Games has retained the title having emerged top of the medal table with 48 gold, 31 silver and 34 bronze, and a
total ot 111 medals.
The State continues to maintain its supremacy in the tournament which is meant for U15 athletes across the 36 states of the federation.
Kwara state came fifth on the medal standing having hauled 14 gold, 7 silver and 12 bronze medals with total of 33 medals.
With this achievement, Kwara state has surpassed its previous record even as they finished at the same fifth position in the last outing.
Lagos came second on the medal table with 26 gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze medals. totaling 65 medals.

Team Edo settled for third position with 18 gold, 13 silver and 28 bronze medals, making a total of 59 medals.
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara Sports Commission Coach Bola Mogaji in his reaction thanked Almighty Allah for the glory as the Commission delivered as promised.
He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for being there always adding all the achievements was due to his support for sports development in the state.
Mogaji hailed officials and athletes for their perseverance and efforts in achieving the remarkable feat as he urged the athletes to start training for better outing in next edition.
He also appreciated journalists from the state for the effective and wide coverage accorded Team Kwara at the Games.
