Super Eagles Player, Taiwo Awoniyi’s philanthropy attracts praises in Kwara State

The Association of Shop Owners at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin have described Super Eagles player, Taiwo Awoniyi as a blessing to Kwara State.

The shop owners, in a video posted by photojournalist, Abdul Momoh were seen swarming around the Nottingham Forest player who came to the stadium for a shake up on Thursday.

They commended him for impacting positively on the community at the Kwara State Stadium during the festive period in 2023.

Awoniyi’s philanthropist gesture has directly impacted many people within and outside the state.

One of the shop owners, Grace Adeniyi of Shop 35 said Awoniyi humility will continue to pave the way for him both at the Club Side and National Team.

Adeniyi said, “During the festive season, Taiwo Awoniyi surprisingly distributed bags of rice to shop owners at the Kwara State stadium. Some of the shop owners who went on vacation also benefited from his kind gesture.

“Awoniyi is our son and we shall continue to pray for him to excel in his club side as well as the senior National Team. Since Awoniyi joined Nottingham Forest, all the women at the stadium have started supporting the club.

“Our prayer is that God will continue to protect you in all your endeavours, you will not get injuries that will hinder your career”.

Meanwhile, Awoniyi met Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State on Wednesday at the state government house in Ilorin.
