Special Duties Ministry recounts achievements, boasts of N1m scholarship award to outstanding student in Kwara
The Kwara State Ministry of Special Duties on Tuesday at the inter-ministerial press briefing held at the Ministry of Communications, while recounting its achievements in the last three months, said an exceptional student, Shalom Adesina, who achieved a remarkable Nine (9) A1 grades all through in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) was awarded financial assistance of One Million Naira (N1,000,000:00) to support his future academic endeavours due to his exceptional performance in the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to Hon. Olanrewaju John Bello, the Commissioner for Special Duties, the Ministry also conducted an awareness and evaluation programme to create a comprehensive database of Fulani herders in Kwara North, adding that in September 2024, it acquired essential office equipment and furniture to boost productivity and efficiency, following the approval of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The Commissioner applauded the governor for his support and vision to create the ministry at the inception of his administration in 2019, saying as a ministry saddled with intervention responsibilities in every aspect of the socio-economic development of the State, remarkable achievements have been made since the inception.
Hon. Bello, however, appealed to the state government and relevant agencies for more support for better service delivery, especially in the areas of emergency issues such as SEMA and the fire service.
