Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim bags chieftaincy title
The Akunyun of Labaka-Oja in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, HRH Oba Adelodun Kazeem Issa, Irewolede ll, has conferred a traditional chieftaincy on the former Senator representing Kwara South at the National Assembly, Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim.
Conferring the title of Aare Atunluse of Labaka-Oja kingdom to him, the traditional ruler described him as an epitome of generosity who despite being out of office still continues his act.
The monarch said the title was a way to appreciate Senator Rafiu for his numerous interventions and encourage him to do more.
“This is just our way to let the Senator know how much he means to us and that he must continue in this way,” he said.
For his part, Senator Rafiu said he received the traditional title with gratitude and as a call to rededicate himself to the task of making life better for the people.
He appreciated the royal father and pledged to intensify efforts to better develop the Constituency.
