Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu raises the alarm over impersonation

The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Hajia Sa’adatu Kawu Modibbo, has raised the alarm that a fraudster is impersonating her by distributing Curriculum Vitae (CVs) to unsuspecting heads of tertiary institution in the state in a bid to secure employments.

A statement she personally signed on Sunday, said the fraudsters, Bolakale Sulaiman Adebayo, has been parading himself as her personal and close aide.

She added that Bolakale allegedly put her picture on his Display Photo on WhatsApp to advance his fraudulent activities.

Kawu said she will be contacting the security agents so that he would be brought to justice.

The statement read, “My attention has been drawn to the activities of a young man, called Bolakale Suleiman Adebayo, who has Gobir facial marks on his face, and has been using my name to extract all kinds of favours: monetary and otherwise, from people in our state. He has particularly been reaching government functionaries and heads of Kwara State-owned tertiary institutions.

“From my investigations, he has collected money and CV’s from some, and has been dropping CVs of people he has promised jobs, with others.

“He has done these things, by giving the impression that he is a close relation and/or my PA, and was doing so with my consent. To further deepen his deceptive ways, he used my picture as DP on his WhatsApp account at the time.

“I am by this message informing my colleagues in government, and the heads of all Kwara State-owned tertiary institutions, that I have never sent the said Bolakale Suleiman Adebayo, or anyone for that matter, to any of them in search of any form assistance.

“It is obvious that he is not working alone, you are advised to please reach me immediately, if anyone drops my name, in search of any favour.”
