Road accident burns 11 persons to death in Ondo
A road accident has killed 11 persons in Ore town along the Benin-Shagamu Expressway in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The motor accident occurred on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
The incident was confirmed by Ezekiel Son’Allah, the Ondo Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
He said the motor crash affected a Marcopolo bus and a truck.
He added that the vehicles caught fire and the victims burnt beyond identification.
He blamed the accident on overspeeding and violation of road’s regulations on the part of the drivers.
