Potter cries out,says Chelsea suffering

Graham Potter has once again confirmed that it’s not a good moment for Chelsea after their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA cup on Sunday.

Chelsea’s poor run of form has seen them winning only one in their last eight games with one draw with Nottingham Forest.

Potter and his boys had three days ago lost to Citizens in the league game with Riyad Mahrez scoring the difference at the Stamford bridge.

Mahrez would later on Sunday again scored a brace as Guardiola boys dumped out the blues from the FA Cup.

Speaking after the game , the former Brighton Hove and Albion manager said it was a tough moment for his team while admitting Man City were the better side in the game.

“The results in a small space of time aren’t positive. You can make excuses and look for reasons, or you can say that it isn’t good enough and both of those answers are correct. Clearly we’re suffering as a football and it’s not nice but it’s where we are at the moment”.

“We were second best to a very good side. Even though it was a cagey opening 20 minutes, we couldn’t attack the backline as much as we’d like. Man City did really well in terms of stopping us from doing that, but still we struggled.”

“The first half was painful and tough for us all. The second half we had to respond and there were some positives there in terms of the young players. But we’re disappointed to get out of the competition.” He said

Chelsea had only one shot on target throughout 90 minutes of the game, thus confirming their struggling mode in the face of injuries roll call.

They will face Fulham in their next game on January 12
