Politicians sponsored thugs to hijack #EndBadGovernance protest: Activist

Comrade Saliu Bolakale, a Kwara-based rights activist, has alleged that politicians sponsored thugs to incite riots and hijack the EndBadGovernance protest for political advantage.
Bolakale made this disclosure while appearing on The Informant247 TV show, The Discourse, last Monday.
He explained that the protesters themselves were not the cause of the riots but the politicians who hired thugs to create chaos.
Bolakale added that such political interference only exacerbates problems, pointing out that the resulting riots reflect deeper issues within the country’s values system, which may take years to resolve.
It will be recalled that Nigerians protested against the current economic hardship in the country during the first 10 days of August.
