Police warn against #EndSARS memorial protest in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has issued warnings to youths and organisers of the proposed EndSARS memorial protest in the state.

The command said it will not accept any breakdown of law and order in the state, a statement released by the state Public Relation Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi quoted CP Amienbo Assayomo as saying.

“For now, the situation in the state is not conducive for any procession, considering the security situation and the recent cultist’s activities.

“It has heightened tension in the minds of some members of the public. Therefore, it can not be reasonable to allow any protest or procession.

“The ugly incidents of the 2020 Endsars protest, where people’s lives and valuable government properties were viciously destroyed, is still fresh in our memories,” the statement added.

He, therefore, advised parents and guardians to call their children and wards to order.
