PHOTOS: Kwara Reps member Shagaya rolls out relief materials to constituents
The House of Representatives member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, has has rolled out distribution of relief palliatives constituents, in a significant move to alleviate the hardship caused by recent natural disasters and economic challenges in the country.
The relief materials include:
· 25Kg bags of Rice
· 25Kg bags of Maize
· 5 litres of Palm Oil
· Tomatoes Paste
· Maggi seasoning cubes
· Salt
· Spaghetti

The distribution, which was carried out in two key locations over the past week began in Afon, Asa Local Government Area of the state.
Shagaya’s team, while attending the bi-weekly meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presented the relief materials to the party leadership for onward distribution to communities most affected by the recent disasters.

A second, larger-scale distribution phase was subsequently held at the lawmaker’s Constituency Office in Ilorin, ensuring a wider reach across the federal constituency.
Shagaya, while emphasizing the importance of grassroots support and collaboration, remarked, “The event was a vital opportunity to connect with our party members at the grassroots level.”
“In response to the recent natural disaster, we presented relief palliatives to the party leadership for distribution to affected communities.”

He further stated that the effort underscores his “continued commitment to working in close synergy with the administration of His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON,” and aligns with the broader “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
The lawmaker also praised the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for their crucial support in this endeavor.

The comprehensive palliative initiative has been warmly received by beneficiaries and community leaders, who praised Hon. Shagaya for his consistent empathy and proactive response to the needs of his people during a difficult period.
