The stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are making plans to meet with the five aggrieved governors of the party otherwise known as the G-5 governors.

The leaders of the party are preparing to meet the governors to persuade them ahead of the presidential election.

They want to persuade the aggrieved governors to support the presidential flagbearer of the party, Atiku Abubakar.

The G-5 governors otherwise known as the Integrity Group, are: Governor Wike (Rivers), Governor Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Governor Samuel Ortom (Benue), Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).

According to a chieftain of the party, “In the aftermath of reports of alleged moves by the aggrieved governors to endorse either the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, or his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu, some PDP leaders have stepped up efforts to pacify the G-5.”
