Participants in Muktar Shagaya’s fish farming, soap making training receive support

Participants in Muktar Shagaya’s fish farming and soap making training have received significant support as part of a new initiative aimed at bolstering local economic development.

The training, conducted over five days and facilitated by the Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology in Kano, included a three-day fish farming course and a two-day soap making workshop.

The program was designed to equip constituents with practical skills for economic and food security improvements.

At the conclusion of the sessions, participants were given substantial support: fish, cash, and fish feed for those in the fish farming training, and essential items and cash grants for soap makers.

Mr. Basheer Luqman, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Hon. Shagaya, stated that this initiative is part of the lawmaker’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of his constituents.

Bashir added; “At the conclusion of the training programs, the participants were empowered with fish, cash and fish feeds for those in the fish farming training, and with items and cash grants for the soap makers. The participants, eager to apply their newfound knowledge and skills, pledged to use them for the betterment of their communities and the state as a whole.”
