Owó-Arúgbó: Kwara govt continue enumeration of beneficiaries
Kwara state has today, April 26 continued the enumeration of beneficiaries for the Owó-Arúgbó – the conditional cash transfer (CCT) – which is the essential part of Kwara State Social Investment Program (KWASSIP) after it was suspended earlier to look into Owo-Ishowo to ease the economic effect of COVID-19 on Kwara residents.
The scheme which targets indigent adults who are over 60 years and vulnerable in the society was designed by the state government to cushion the effect of the economic crisis.
According to the enumerators, “30% of the wards in the first five local government arears – Ilorin East, South, West, Offa and Oyun – has been captured.”
“The state government through KWASSIP has promised that the capturing of the first phase will be completed before moving to the next phase which comprises of Moro, Asa, Irepodun, Ifelodun, Edu and Pategi.”
