Olohungbebe assumes office, calls for support to improve educational sector in Kwara

The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development in Kwara State, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, has called for maximum support and cooperation from all the Ministry staff to succeed in his newly assigned role.

Olohungbebe made this known on Monday during his maiden meeting, which was held with the management of the Ministry in his office.

Dr Olohungbebe, while noting that his tenure would be performance-driven, stressed that no progress could be achieved without the support of the entire staff of the Ministry.

The commissioner expressed his determination to improve Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration’s educational policies while emphasizing the need for quality education to achieve quality output in teaching and learning in a conducive environment.

In her remark, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Olanrewaju Rebecca Bake, said the Ministry is blessed with a competent, dutiful, and hardworking staff, committed to supporting the new Commissioner in his determinationto implement thee educational agenda of the present administration.

The Permanent Secretary recalled the efforts of the past Commissioner, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, whom she described as a goal-getterwhot worked hard towards solidifying various educational policies of this administration.

While highlighting the functions of each of the seven (7) Directorates of the Ministry, she assured the Commissioner of the support of the entire staff of the Ministry.
