O. D Jimoh Unveils Summit Planning, Constitution Drafting Committees

The inaugural Chairman, Arewa Young Lawyers’ Forum, Mr OD Jimoh instituted Summit Planning Committee and Constitution Drafting Committee headed by Mr Dayo Ashonibare, former Vice Chairman, National Council of NBA-YLF and Mr Sani S Idris, Chairman, NBA-YLF, Kaduna respectively. The inauguration took place on Sunday, 22nd September, 2019 at House No 1, B Close, 1st Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja. 

The members of the Constitution Drafting Committee included the following:

It is on record that it was during the Annual General Meeting of the forum held on 28th August, 2019 at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos that the constitutions of the committees and their membership were ratified by the Members.

The Chairman, AYLF O.D Jimoh, while expressing appreciation to the members of the committees for their unalloyed resolve to serve, admonishing them never to betray the confidence reposed in them by the members of the forum.

The Committees had kicked off immediately.

Mr Dayo Ashonibare, Chairman, Summit Planning Committee gave acceptance speech on behalf of members of his committee and thanked the Executive for the appointment. He revealed to the Executives that sub committees had been set up for effective running of the committee. He also reiterated the commitment of his committee to engineer an enviable Summit that will serve the best interest of the forum.

In the same vein, the Chairman, Constitution Drafting Committee, Sani S. Idris issued oral report on the level of work executed. He also thanked AYLF Executives for the appointment and gave assured to implement his avowed task with utmost diligence and produce the constitution in line with the AGM’s ultimatum.

Many members of the Committees were in attendance including: Dauda Rahila, Kazeem Egbewole, Mimi Ayua, Ahmed Khalil, Moses Faya, Alemeru Mathew Adekunle and many other members. Apart from the Chairman OD Jimoh, two members of the Executives: Publicity Secretary, Mr Gbande Paul and Treasurer, Ahmad Khalil were present.
