No region will be left behind in development – Tinubu assures

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across all regions of Nigeria, ensuring that “no area will be left behind.”

This promise was made during a two-day interactive session held in Kaduna, organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation to enhance government-citizen engagement.

Tinubu, represented by Sen. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, shared key initiatives under his Renewed Hope Agenda.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and citizens to bridge gaps in development and address neglect.

“The economic reform strategies are designed to create a robust, diversified, and resilient economy,” the president explained, highlighting bold reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy.

He referred to major interventions, including unifying the exchange rate and the restructuring of debt profiles.

Highlighting infrastructure projects, Tinubu mentioned significant initiatives like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and ongoing rail projects, asserting that these efforts aim to boost connectivity and promote national growth.

“Security is the bedrock of national development,” he said, emphasizing the need to enhance the capabilities of security forces to ensure the safety of all Nigerians.

Discussing the recent removal of fuel subsidies, he acknowledged the difficulties this decision has posed but argued that the resulting savings are being redirected toward crucial infrastructure and social services. “The savings are now being redirected into critical infrastructure,” he stated.

On agriculture, Tinubu expressed optimism about transforming Nigeria into an agricultural powerhouse, stating, “This administration places Nigeria on a path to achieving food security.” He underlined the focus on modernizing farming practices and improving financial access for farmers.

Concluding his remarks, the president underscored the values instilled by the late Sir Ahmadu Bello and called for patience and collaboration from all citizens to realize the aspirations of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
