Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri Drops One Spot in latest world ranking
Nigeria Table Tennis legend, Aruna Quadri has dropped a position down in the latest World Table Tennis rankings released in the early hours of Tuesday.
The WTT rankings indicate that Quadri, who ranked 14th in the previous ranking is now ranked 15th in the world with 1745 as the points accumulation
The drop is consequent of Aruna’s poor performances at the WTT championship in Macao and WTT Cup finals in China.
Aruna crashed out in the first round of both tournaments in the space of two weeks
Meanwhile, the German based ping pong star remains the highest ranking African player in the world.
The 34-year old crashed out at the XianXiang open in China after losing three sets ( 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-14) to Chinese’s Lin Yun Jun.
He was earlier beaten by Sweden’s Anton Kallberg (11-8, 11-9,11.9) in Macao
