Naira redesign: Buhari should sack CBN gov, Emefiele – says Primate Ayodele
Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, on Sunday, told President Muhammadu Buhari to dismiss Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
Primate Ayodele made this revelation while reacting to the plan of the CBN to redesign some denominations of the country’s currency.
While speaking to his congregation during a live service, the cleric has said that the redesigning of the currency will not benefit the country, but will just be a total waste of the nation’s resources.
He explained that the CBN boss and his team are confused and should be dismissed from offices.
Ayodele revealed that the President is expected to dismiss the CBN boss because he has been underperforming, while saying that the cannot escape the economic woes in the next six years.
Ayodele also said: ‘’CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele should be sacked, he can’t give a solution to the economy of Nigeria. The country will have more economic hardship and our naira will further be devalued.
“He doesn’t have the idea of the economy, he is fed up already. We can’t come out of these woes for the next six years.
“Former president, Goodluck Jonathan sacked Sanusi as CBN governor when he wasn’t performing, so, what’s stopping the sack of Emefiele because he is clearly not performing?”
