Naira Marley accused by former signee DJ Splash regarding Mohbad’s fallout

Former Marlian Records signee, Aderoju Matthew, popularly known as DJ Splash, has shed light on his strained relationship with Naira Marley, shedding new insights into the Marlian boss’s falling out with the late singer Mohbad.

Notably, Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo recently paid a visit to DJ Splash, who has allegedly been grappling with mental health challenges since parting ways with Naira Marley’s record label.

During their conversation, DJ Splash opened up about the discord between Naira Marley and Mohbad, revealing that the Marlian boss disapproved of Mohbad because he expected the late singer to emulate his own career path, which Mohbad chose not to follow.

DJ Splash disclosed, “Naira Marley didn’t like Mohbad because he wanted him to replicate his own style, but Mohbad had different aspirations. MohBad always included me in his activities, and it’s just Mohbad and I who didn’t align with Naira Marley’s vision.”

DJ Splash further elaborated on the challenges he faced, stating, “They attempted to harm me, but their efforts were in vain. Subsequently, they attempted to manipulate my mental state simply because I expressed my desire to pursue a music career.”

Iyabo Ojo, deeply concerned about DJ Splash’s situation, pledged to report the matter to the appropriate authorities and provide support for him.

It’s worth recalling that DJ Splash’s mother recently accused Naira Marley of negatively impacting her son’s life and abandoning him.

She expressed her dismay over DJ Splash’s deteriorating health since he left Naira Marley’s residence, leading to frequent hospital visits.

However, she did not specify whether any medical diagnosis had been made regarding his condition.

The revelations from DJ Splash’s account cast a new perspective on the dynamics within the Marlian Records camp and the challenges faced by its former artists.
