N2.5bn alleged fraud: Ogun Speaker, Oluomo returns to office after perfecting bail conditions

Olakunle Oluomo, the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, on Friday resumed office after sorting his conditions of bail.

The Informant247 recalls that the speaker who was apprehended last week by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was on Tuesday brought before a Lagos Federal High Court over alleged diversion of state funds (N2.475 billion).

The Ogun speaker was given bail in the sum of N300 million with two sureties in like sum.

Oluomo, on Friday, showed up at the assembly complex in Okemosan, Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state, having been away from work for days.

The speaker was welcomed by members of staff, who expressed their happiness, seeing the parliamentarian again in his office.
