Muslim council describes Senator Saliu Mustapha as a dependable ally

The Council of Muslim Organisations (CMO) in Kwara State has lauded Senator Saliu Mustapha for his support and generosity, following his donation of N3 million during the organisation’s Annual Conference held in Ilorin, the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of the CMO and a former Grand Khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal, Ilorin, Justice Idris Abdullah Haroon, expressed profound appreciation for Senator Mustapha’s contributions, describing him as a dependable ally and also commended his commitment to the progress of the organisation and the Muslim community.
Senator Mustapha, who chaired this year’s event, was represented by Mallam Imam Abubakar, the National Secretary of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU).
In his remarks, Mallam Abubakar reiterated Senator Mustapha’s partnership with the CMO, highlighting its pivotal role in fostering unity and advancing developmental goals across the state. This latest gesture is part of Senator Mustapha’s longstanding relationship with the CMO. In 2022, he donated several millions of Naira to the organisation, reaffirming his dedication to its mission of community development and unity.
The CMO Annual Conference, a key platform for deliberating on issues of community development, attracted stakeholders and dignitaries from across Kwara State.
Notable attendees included the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi; Mallam Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode, Executive Director of Finance at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL); Justice S. O. Muhammed, a former Grand Khadi of the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal; Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, President of the IEDPU; and Mallam Muhammad Uthman Jagunma, President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), among others.
